Village gym set to open in New Year
A new keep-fit village facility will be opening in January, ideal for those making New Year’s fitness resolutions.
The Billingborough Community Gym is to be launched on Sunday, January 6 at 11am, with former world’s strongest man Geoff Capes officially opening the new facility. Everyone is welcome to go along and give the new equipment a try, as well as meeting the team behind the gym.
Situated in a newly refurbished, self-contained unit near to Billingborough Village Hall, the project is a volunteer driven community venture funded by the National Lottery. It will be open to people of all ages and abilities.
Project co-ordinator Caroline Jackson said: “We hope to make a real impact on the collective health of the community by promoting physical exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle.”
