Welby finish on a high while Sleaford 2nd lose out

Just one game remains in the South Lincolnshire and Border League’s 2014 season when Division Two’s Burgh and District take on Belton Park 2nd next weekend.

In the Premier Division Welby finished on a high note with a four wicket win over Long Sutton but were unable to overhaul Stamford Town to lift out of the bottom two. But Moulton Harrox made it into the top six with a five wicket win over Sleaford 2nd.

In Division One Chris King made the highest total of the day with 176 not out and Shane George took six wickets as Billingborough 2nd beat Baston to finish third in the division.
