FEAST - A TREASURE hunt, duck racing, dog show and fun fair are just some of the attractions at this year’s Digby Feast.
The feast, which takes place on Saturday, July 14, will also feature various displays by local groups, a wide variety of craft stalls and traditional games.
Again the popular cross to cross run, from Digby Cross to Rowston Cross, is back and there will be a photographic competition, ‘Highways and Byways’ and a ginger cake competition.
During the feast, there will be a flower festival in Digby Church.
The day will conclude with a family ceilidh and disco from 8pm until late.
The feast is organised by Dibgy Village Hall committee to raise money for the upkeep of the hall, which has a charitable status.
The committee has worked hard to make it an action packed day for the family and is hoping people will turn out in good number to support the feast and support the village hall, which is in great need of funds.
A village hall spokesperson said: “The village hall attracts many different regular user groups such as Personal Awareness groups, Acorn Judo Club, keep fit classes, U3A short mat bowling, Tea, Tots and Talk and dog training.
“The user groups just about pay for the day to day running of the hall but any additional work needed to be carried out has to be fund-raised for.”
Digby Feast starts at 10am and continues until 5pm.
