Sleaford residents revived the popular Big Night Out event in style with a huge turn out on Saturday evening.
Hundreds of people came out to suport the Facebook inspired event which saw most of the town’s pubs and clubs getting in on the act, this time based on the impending Hallowe’en theme - and there were some great efforts for fancy dress too.
There was even a spooky ghost walk around the town which proved hugely popular.
Bars put on music, live acts, themed discos and drinks promotions in support and Stuart Couling who masterminded the project was thrilled at the result of this third Big Night Out.
Stuart said: “I think it went really well to be honest, with plenty of people out. All the bars that took part had a really busy time and especially the Barge and Bottle who raised money for a good cause and were packed for their live band.”
He visited The Packhorse, the Barge and Bottle and Darmon’s Bar who put on a special 80s themed event on one of their two dance floors, something he thought could go down well on a regular basis, while the Reel Club and the Bull and Dog were also said to have seen exceptionally busy nights too, despite the stormy weather.
Stuart added: “There was definitely a good vibe and it attracted back a lot of people who maybe usually go elsewhere such as Lincoln or that don’t go out that often and we have had lots of really good feedback and lots of people wanting to do it again. But it cannot happen too often or it would be watered down and it takes a lot of organising while doing a full time job. I want to think of a new theme, something fresh for next year.”
