A successful summer exhibition at Carre Gallery has culminated in four artists being awarded for their impressive works.

Gallery director Christopher Hodgson handed over awards to the artists in a recent presentation at the gallery after the close of the exhibition.

Sleaford artist Lee Anthony Herring was presented with the ‘People’s Choice’ Award for his painting ‘Circen’, a large oil on canvas.

Chosen by visitors to the gallery during the exhibition, Circen (pictured) is a large fantasy image.

It depicts three female figures arranged in a circle against a colourful and highly-detailed background of flowers, which at first glance resembles a celestial sky.

Anne Barnham was presented with the ‘Gallery Award’ for her watercolour painting, ‘Dubrovnik’. Anne was unable to attend the Summer Exhibition awards evening when her award was announced.

At the awards evening, held during the exhibition, Wendy Else won the ‘Lincolnshire Pride Award’ for her watercolour painting Floral Fantasy.

Ann Mackenzie also won the gallery ‘Directors’ Award’ for her oil painting Bluestone Heath Road over The Wolds.
