If you were planning on visiting Cogglesford Watermill on Sunday for the Heritage Open Day, there’s even more reason to do so now.

Not only can you see the mill in action and claim your free 500g bag of organic wholemeal flour (don’t forget to mention the words “Heritage Open Days”!) you can also talk to local bread baking experts, Greenfield Bakers.

Greenfield Bakers are passionate about making real bread using fresh, local ingredients and baking using clay ovens. The bakers will be selling all sorts of delicious breads with a special selection of sourdough breads to celebrate the Real Bread Campaign’s Sourdough September.

There will be lots of venues opening their doors from September 11 to 14 to join in with the annual Heritage Open Days celebration. Why not enjoy free refreshments at Crannwell Aviation Heritage Centre or take away a free pen or pencil for each child from Navigation House. There’s something for the children to do too with fun trails to keep them busy!
