A Christmas market will take place at Metheringham on Sunday in the Star and Garter car park after the annual tree lighting and carol service.

The service takes place at the war memorial on High Street at 4pm.

A nativity group will lead the way from the carol service by candlelight to the car park. There an array of stalls and entertainment will await you. A vintage chair-o-plane and swing boats along with Santa’s grotto, the local fire station’s sleigh and various amounts of food and drink.

The children from the village school will be singing for you and festive music will be played courtesy of Amberlite.

Wood burners will keep the chill away as you drink your mulled wine and enjoy the start to your Christmas festivities with family and friends. It will also be snowing!

Decorations for the stage have been made by each child in the village school, afterwards these will be hung in the village hall. Bring a torch to read your carol sheets as lighting is limited at the memorial gardens.
