Dance Factor Lincolnshire is one of six groups in the region battling for public votes to win £50,000 in funding through ITV’s The People’s Millions competition.
Dance Factor is a popular street dance project for young people led by community group Inspire Dance. It will make a bid for viewers’ support to win the cash prize with the public voting by phone. On Monday, November 24, Dance Factor Lincolnshire will be profiled on the ITV South Yorkshire evening news and will compete head to head against another regional projects. The one with the most votes will win £50,000.
The People’s Millions funding would enable Dance Factor to span seven districts of Lincolnshire, engaging in excess of 750 young people aged 11-18 to dance in local communities, including Sleaford and surrounding areas. They would offer free evening street dance sessions culminating in a grand final showcase. Inspire Dance have until 9am on November 24 to encourage votes.
