A dance troupe based in a village near Sleaford has been picking up medals thick and fast since the summer holidays.

Following the summer break, Angels Dance Squad, who train at Scopwick Village Hall, were back in action at a Northern Majorette Association day competition in Wakefield on Sunday.

Once again, the girls performed with energy, style and smiles which resulted in nine first places, six second places and one fourth.

Angels Dance Squad were awarded first prize in the Most Entertaining Routine category for a performance based on the theme of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

They were also awarded the honour of Troupe Of The Day.

There is one more Northern Majorette Association competition for this year at the start of November.

If the troupe continue with the hard work, then they will be in with a chance to win the coveted NMA Troupe of the Year award.

Angels Dance Squad is made up of girls from Sleaford, Greylees, Ruskington, Digby, Metheringham, Lincoln and the surrounding areas.

They have performed at Sleaford Carnival and Waddington Air Show.

Training takes place on Thursday and Sunday nights.
