Members of Ruskington based dance studio, Dance For Dreams, were jumping for joy with their success competing in a regional competition, coming away with the top trophies.
The competition in Peterborough was the International Cheerleading Coalition Eastern Championship when the local youngsters competed against all the local cheer and dance schools in the region in solo categories and placed 1st in every division they entered.
Felicity Machin was 1st in the Hip hop solo category; Caitlin Hawkins was 1st in pom dance solo; Molly Ashcroft came first in the jazz solo while Erin Morgan was second and Emily Pearce was first in the lyrical/contemporary solo section.
The dance school led by Niki Holloway is now preparing for the British Cheerleading Association national championships to be held in Telford in April.
Niki said: “As cheerleading is now going to be in the Olympics for a trial period, competitions are growing quickly, becoming the fastest growing sport in the country.
“We currently have space in our recreational cheer classes for children aged nine to 16 years.”
