Elves will be handing out free reindeer dust to be sprinkled on Christmas Eve at a village festive event on Sunday.
Metheringham Christmas Market and tree lights switch on kicks off at 4pm at the War Memorial Garden on the High Street in the village when the lights will be turned on.
The Christmas Market takes place in the Star and Garter car park, where you will enter to a flurry from a snow machine to get you in the mood.
Once there you can browse around over 20 stalls offering Christmas fayre to the sound of festive music and a performance by Digby Military Wives Choir.
There are vintage swing boat rides for the children along with Santa arriving by sleigh before entering his grotto to hear children’s wishes. He will give a free gift to every child under 10 years old, while his elves will be dishing out teh magical reindeer dust.
There is free coffee, tea and mulled wine, or try the hot turkey, beef and pork rolls and roasted potatoes available to buy, along with doughnuts.
There is also a raffle and 50/50 draw.
