Sleaford Town Council and the organisers of Sleaford Christmas Market are encouraging local children to enter their artistic creations in a competition to coincide with the festive event.

Children are asked to draw, paint, cut, stick or use whatever they wish to create a picture on the theme ‘Sleaford at Christmas’, which must be presented on a piece of A4 paper.

The deadline for entries is Friday November 20 at the latest and entries will be judged by the Mayor of Sleaford. The winners will get a £15 gift card and an item of chocolate as their prize, presented by the Mayor.

The winning entries will also be professionally framed and presented to the winners at the Christmas Market, at a time to be decided. The winners will also have the privilege of assisting with the switching on of the Christmas lights.

There will be two winners from each category, the main categories this year are: 4-7 year olds (1 boy and 1 girl) and 7 – 11 year olds (1 boy and 1 girl).

Enter your pictures with your name, age, address and a contact number when delivering or posting them to the Town Council offices.

Send to: The Town Hall, Quayside House, Navigation Yard, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, NG34 7TW.

Clearly mark the envelope with ‘Christmas Art Competition’ with the age/sex category visible on the top left hand side corner.

All entries must be received by Friday November 20.
