Crowds of volunteers, supporters and civic dignitaries attended the official opening of the town’s new museum on Thursday.

The event saw the unveiling of the converted public toilet block on Southgate, along with a modern unisex public toilet at one end.

The ribbon was cut by Sheila Scholes, clerk to the Town Council, which has leased the building to Sleaford Museum Trust and spent around £20,000 on the two projects.
