Two groups of Year 6 pupils from William Alvey Primary School paid a visit to Sleaford Museum last Tuesday with artist David Mackie.

The pupils have been working with the artist on the ‘This is Sleaford ...’ project to develop a series of artworks on pavements and walls around the town to highlight pathways leading to key attractions.

Pupils completed a quiz on the artefacts in the museum, and both groups found lots of inspiration and ideas to enhance the research, which is an initiative of ArtsNK led by Lucy Lumb.

One of the groups is pictured here in the museum, on Southgate, gathering historical facts for their art project.
