The Natural World Centre at Whisby Nature Park launched its first Short Story Competition in May with a theme of Whisby Through the seasons.

Have you got a way with words? The Natural World Centre’s Short Story competition is open to all abilities and ages and applicants are asked to write about ‘Whisby through the Seasons’ in 500 words.

The competition will be set with three age categories: under 11s, ages 12-17 and ages 18 plus.

Entries are being accepted until August 1. Shortlisted stories will be on display as part of the DiscoverNK exhibition from the 31st August until 13th September and will be judged on the 5th September with the winners from each category announced at 12pm. All shortlisted and winning entries will be published in a booklet and be on sale at reception.
