Town’s library set to celebrate 25th ‘birthday’

Sleaford Library is celebrating its 25th anniversary since moving into its Market Place premises with a special family event.

Join staff to celebrate on Friday December 7 throughout the day from 9am until 7pm with proceeds going to the Macmillan Cancer Charity.

Sleaford Little Theatre will be reading from Charles Dickens; Sleaford Vintage Brass will be performing Christmas music along with more tunes on guitar.

There will be a floral demonstration by Sleaford and District Flower Club and there will be stories and poetry readings.

There will also be a display of pictures and memorabilia relating to the history of Sleaford Library, and a memory book in which people are invited to record their reminiscences of the library’ if they wish.
