More than 100 children and families turned out to see the grand switch on of the Christmas lights display at the homes of Jacky Cooper and Val Midgley in Ruskington on Monday night.

The crowds get bigger each year as more and more are eager to see the illuminations festooning the house and garden of 89-91 Elmtree Road. Father Christmas was there handing out small gifts and there was mulled wine for adults with donations going to the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance and children with life threatening conditions.
