Britain’s Got Talent finalists Lucy Heath and Trip Hazard were invited as special guests to award the first prize for a competition at Sleaford Museum.

The dancing dog duo from Billingborough agreed to go along and make the day of ten-year-old Alfie Lewin, from Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic School, who had entered a quiz where he found the answers dotted around the museum.

Alfie had visited with his grandmother and filled in the sheet of questions designed to encourage younger people to look closer at some of the information on display.

The special guests were welcomed by Museum Trust committee members and the prize was presented by Lucy along with vice-chairman Jan Spooner.

A new quiz has now been devised to match the changing displays.

Lucy taught a thrilled Alfie to do a few tricks with eager-to-please Trip, which really made his day.

Lucy, 30, said her schedule has just got busier and busier since earning a place in the final of the hit ITV talent show. Travelling all over the country to engagements, Lucy and Trip had visited Liverpool, Cheshire, Surrey and Berkshire in one week, including taking part in Dog Fest with Channel 4 Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick.

“We have also had an award from Dogs Today magazine for inspiring people to do more with their dogs,” said Lucy.

“We are also doing panto this year at the Liverpool Echo Arena with Ray Quinn in Cinderella. The producers first asked me to be Cinderella but I haven’t done any singing or dancing since I was a teenager so I am now going to be the Fairy Godmother with Trip as the Fairy Dogfather.”
