After selling out their own show at the Lincoln Drill Hall this March, Sleaford-band The Band From County Hell has been asked to support influential rock band New Model Army next month.

New Model Army was formed in Bradford in 1980 and have over the years been labelled punks, post-punks, Goth, metal, and folk.

The gig will take place at The Engine Shed, Lincoln, on Thursday, May 5, at 7pm.

Tickets are priced at £20 and available from www.engineshed.co.uk or 0844 8888766.

Steven McLelland, frontman of The Band From County Hell, said: “We are honoured and excited to have been asked.

“I have followed NMA since being introduced to them by my best friend, the late Darryl Bush of Sleaford, in the late 80s and I will be dedicating our set to his memory.”

The band have also just been booked to play Wellowfest 2016 on Saturday, July 16, where they will be on stage before headliners Bob Geldof and The Boomtown Rats.
