A local charity is to benefit from a two-day fundraising event by a Sleaford restaurant.

The India Garden in Sleaford Market Place each year organises successful charity meal events and the latest cause to be supported is Hope For Justice - a charity dedicated to rescuing people from slavery and human trafficking.

Restaurant proprietor Nadim Aziz said he was approached by Margaret Harding, a local representative of the national charity, to help raise funds for their work.

The charity nights will be on September 26 and 27 from 5.30pm, launched by the Mayor of Sleaford, David Suiter.

For £20 per head, diners will get a set meal of poppadoms, mixed starters, main dish of chicken korma, chicken tikka masala or chicken jalfrezi with side dish of roast potatoes and carrots plus rice or naan (vegetarian dish available on request). Mr Aziz said 25 per cent of the price will be donated to the charity. To book call 01529 415313 or 07903 488754.
