The Natural World Centre at Whisby Nature Park will be welcoming local author Lesley Berrington as they take part in National Story Telling Week.

Lesley will be offering free drop-in sessions on Saturday from 11am to 1pm and will be introducing you to Hattie and her friends. Drop in sessions last 30 minutes, ideal for children up to age eight.

On February 15, get snapping in their Photography Workshop and create a themed scrapbook of your favourite things that you spot in the reserve.

This workshop will take place both indoors and outdoors in the reserve. Bring your own camera. Booking essential.

On February 18, create your own Secret Room inspired by the centre’s current exhibition, Abandoned Lincolnshire - showcasing some of Lincolnshire’s iconic institutions that are in various states of dereliction, and transform a shoe box into your very own secret room or secret garden.

Have a go at making your own pinhole camera on February 20. Transform an old drinks can which will be positioned within the nature reserve for a month to capture the movement of the sun.

Get creative for National Nest Box week on February 22 and create your own bird mask using feathers, sparkles, paper and card.
