Find out if your pottery is trash or treasure at NCCD road show event

Have you a piece of pottery or a quirky ceramic and wondered about its history or how much it may be worth?

Sleaford’s National Centre for Craft and Design is hosting a Valuation Roadshow on Saturday November 3 with experts from Golding Young and Mawer Auctioneers and Valuers.

Staff from the Lincoln and Grantham based auctioneers often appear on prime time shows such as Bargain Hunt and Flog It and between them have a wealth of experience and expertise, being Professional Members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Antiques Surveyors.

The Valuation Roadshow is a special event to compliment the current main gallery exhibition Gordon Baldwin: Objects for a Landscape, which brings together over 140 works spanning 50 years of creative output of one of the most distinguished living potters in the UK.

So clear out the attic, search through the garage and bring your pottery and ceramics between 10am and 12.30pm and find out if you have a valuable piece of porcelain.

l St Denis’ Church, Silk Willoughby is hosting a Crafts By Candlelight event from 1.30pm-4.30pm on Saturday with lots of crafts and gift ideas, cakes, preserves and festive refreshments. Free entry
