Lots planned for town’s St George’s Day market event

There will belots to do at this year’s St George’s Day market in Sleaford

The market will have free pitches for traders, general stalls and charity stalls, live entertainment and a primary school colouring competition are just some of the St George’s Day celebrations.

The Town Council has a varied programme for Saturday April 18, which will take place in the Market Place and at Boston Road ‘Rec’.

Gazebos are available on a first come, first served bookable basis for £5. Public liability insurance and a £20 deposit is required (the deposit is refundable upon attendance at the market). Book by April 13.

A letter search will take place at Boston Road Recreation Ground. Entry forms available from the kiosk and completed entries will win an Easter egg (while stocks last).

A St George’s themed shop window search will take place in the weeks running up to St George’s Day. Entry forms available from Town Council offices in Carre Street. Search for a St George’s themed item in the shop windows, complete the form and completed entries will be put into a draw to win a WHSmith voucher.

All shops in Sleaford are invited to dress windows with a St George’s theme and the winner will win tasty treats.

There is a primary school colouring competition. With age group winners getting a certificate and WHSmith voucher. Adults can enter too with forms from the council office and library to win a meal, at the India Garden.
