One of the brightest young talents in the UK, singer/songwriter Philippa Hanna, is giving a concert at Ruskington Methodist Church.

Since her debut album Watching Me, the Sheffield songstress has been winning the hearts with her faith-filled inspirational music.

Philippa is now poised to embark on a 31-date UK tour supporting this year’s Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro starting in January.

The Ruskington concert is on Sunday at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £8 on 01526 833437 or e-mail at r.abbott097@btinternet.com

A chance encounter with guitarist and songwriter Roo Walker saw them begin playing music together, and shortly after Roo became a Christian.

After a period of soul-searching Philippa became a Christian too.

However, she does not believe her music is restricted to churchgoers.

She said: “In writing songs for my latest album, Through the Woods, I really wanted to create songs which give people hope, wherever they are in their faith journey.”
