Jazz at the movies quartet will get Playhouse swinging

They have become a Christmas regular at Ronnie Scott’s in London and now they are playing in Sleaford – so break open the popcorn and enjoy the unique experience that is Jazz at the Movies.

The swinging quintet will be playing at the Playhouse on October 4, presenting their own take on numerous recognisable movie themes.

The group features the vocals of Joanna Eden and the Chris Ingham quartet. The quartet comprises drummer George Double, pianist Chris Ingham, bass player the Rev Andy Brown and special guest Alan Barnes on sax and clarinet.

George Double said: “Jazz at the Movies will appeal to music fans and movie fans alike. With an emphasis on swing and accessibility, Jazz at the Movies was formed specifically to interpret movie themes. Along with the music, there’s some very entertaining dialogue.”
