Music trains are back on the Poacher Line between Sleaford and Wainfleet, providing an unusual venue for a variety of live music acts.

Normal scheduled service trains are used and a normal rail ticket is required for the journey, purchased from stations or the conductor on the train.

Tomorrow (Thursday) sees Karate Party, a three-piece acoustic band that play pop/rock/rap covers with an original twist.

The Music Train departs Sleaford at 6.55pm; Heckington 7.02pm for travel to Wainfleet for refreshments at Batemans Brewery’s Windmill Bar. Revellers catch the return train from Wainfleet at 9.10pm to arrive back in Heckington at 9.51pm and Sleaford at 10pm.

○ Country music singer Travis Logan will be going to perform at South Kyme Coronation Hall on Saturday April 4, starting at 8pm. With more than 3,000 live performances to his name he is influenced by the likes of Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash.

Tickets are £7.50, in aid of the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance. Call 01526 860645.
