South Kyme Coronation Hall will be the venue for a concert of Eastern European music on Friday, October 24.
In 19th century Europe, Jewish musicians travelled from town to town performing at weddings and other celebrations, meeting and playing with local musicians and sharing repertoire.
Similarly London-based klezmer and Balkan music band She’Koyokh has spent the last decade exploring the rich and diverse folk music of Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Balkans. The result is a crafted, multi-lingual extravaganza reflecting band members’ origins and their travels from the Baltic to the Black Sea.
The concert starts at 7.30pm, call 01526 860645 for tickets.
