The Black Dog Ceilidh Band is stopping off at Ruskington’s St George’s Academy on Saturday night to give one of their punchy, full-on ceilidhs.
Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is these days better known as a barn dance.
This band is in great demand at festivals, parties and fundraisers. They play traditional tunes but in a more up tempo, rocky style with an instrument line-up of drums, electric guitar, electric bass and a blazing electric fiddle.
You do not have to worry about how to do the dances, because the band has its own dance caller who will take you through each dance.
The ceilidh kicks off at 7.30pm.
Admission is priced at £10, (children £5, family ticket - two adults and two children - £25). Price includes a finger buffet.
There will be a licensed bar.
Tickets are available from 07919 172568 or 01526 834535.
