New season of craft workshops to enjoy

A new season of skills-based craft workshops aimed at adults is to launch at Sleaford’s National Centre for Craft and Design (NCCD) next month.

It comprises a series of painting sessions on selected Saturdays and a set of evening classes on the second Tuesday of the month.

Towards Abstraction with Phil Bowman will allow participants to explore a range of painting techniques in three workshops, covering landscape on Saturday, February 20, still life on Saturday, March 19, and figuration with a live model on Saturday, April 16. All the workshops will run from 10am-3pm, cost £25 per person, with basic materials and easels provided.

The evening classes are spread over four sessions from Tuesday, February 9, at selected times from 6-9pm.

The courses are woodwork, silversmithing, and feltmaking, and priced at £100, £80, and £60 for the four sessions respectively, with basic materials provided.

Feltmaking is suitable for ages 12-plus. All other workshops are suitable for adults only. For details and to book call 01529 308710 or email info@nationalcraftanddesign.org.uk.
