Open auditions for parts in an upcoming musical are to be held in Sleaford next month.

Boy from Bow, written by a London-based playwright, follows ‘Fingers’ Malone, a talented sportsman/musician from a lower class background who wins a scholarship to a private school.

Director Trevor Glenn, along with the writer/director of the locally made feature film Shadows of a Stranger, Richard Dutton, will be looking for ‘undiscovered’ local talent as well as experienced actors and singers to
contribute to the success of
the musical.

They are looking for both males and females to play the parts of the sixth form private school kids as well as more mature actors to play Malone’s parents and teaching staff at the school.

Open auditions take place on Thursday, May 28, from 3pm until 6pm at the New Life Conference Centre, in Mareham Lane.

Applicants will be asked to perform a short monologue from the play and sing in front of the panel. Anyone interested in taking part can simply turn up on the day.
