Amateur dramatics group Heckington Players have released details of how they plan to mark their 30th anniversary next year.

It will start with their annual pantomime - a spectacular, fun-filled production that sells about 1,500 tickets.

Puss in Boots, written by Kei Bailey, will be performed in January 2016 over two weekends. Tickets will go on sale later this year.

To further help celebrate the anniversary year, two more productions - one in the spring and another in the autumn - are in hand.

It is likely that these will both be comedies, the group says.

However, before all the celebrations begin, on Saturday, September 26, Heckington Players are hosting a quiz night with entertainment in Heckington Village Hall, at 7.30pm.

There will be a licensed bar and tickets are £8 each, which includes a ploughman’s supper.

Teams of up to six people are allowed.
