Second theatre tour for popular show

A play set in the Christmas of 1183 will be performed at The Terry O'Toole Theatre, in Moor Lane, North Hykeham.

Addhock Theatre Company presents The Lion In Winter written by James Goldman, this Saturday, March 4.

This is the second theatre tour of the production.

A spokesman for the show said: “A crown, a princess and the richest province on the continent are all up for grabs. Henry II is getting old. His three sons, his wife, his mistress and his arch enemy are all under the same roof.

“Can the old lion outwit them and hang on to his crown, kingdom and beautiful mistress?

“This witty, fast-paced drama inspired the film of the same name starring Peter O’Toole and Katherine Hepburn and has become a modern classic.”

Tickets for The Lion In Winter are priced at £12 for adults, and £10 for concessions.

The show starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, March 4.
