Dick Whittington and His Cat is coming to Metheringham.

Metheringham Amateur Dramatics (MAD) stage Dick Whittington (and his Cat, Tommy) across six shows from this Friday evening.

MAD has been putting on a pantomime for more than 20 years, but due to an enforced break has not held one since 2013.

A MAD spokesman said: “The show has a strong cast of all ages and mixing experienced performers and will have all the usual colour, laughter, life, unusual characters and bad jokes associated with panto.”

The spokesman added: “We are expecting a good turnout after our break so it is advisable to get your tickets in advance to see if Dick’s journey to London and Morocco leads him back to become Lord Mayor of Metheringham.”

Shows take place in Metheringham Village Hall on January 29 and 30, February 5 and 6 at 7.30pm, with matinees on January 30 and February 6 at 2.30pm.

Tickets (priced at £10 for adults, £5 for children) are available from Salon 32 and Metheringham Convenience Store, in High Street, Metheringham or by calling 07780 432745.
