The cast of Sleaford Little Theatre are getting set to present their latest comedy - complete with historical characters.

Queen Elizabeth Slept Here by Talbot Rothwellwill be the latest showing by the amateur group at Sleaford Playhouse in Westgate from Tuesday March 17 to Saturday, March 21.

Norah has bought an old cottage of the Elizabethan period where Queen Elizabeth I is rumoured to have once slept.

Her husband Michael is unaware that he is soon to be the proud owner of a tumbledown cottage beset with problems, no modern conveniences and no running water.

The couple have to battle against click beetles, weevils, a thoroughly nasty nephew, a ranting colonel, a miserly old aunt and a range of other hilarious characters as they try to make the cottage the home of their dreams.

Will they succeed or will the colonel scupper their plans? How Norah and Michael deal with everything that is thrown at them results in a delightful and very funny play.
