Dance for Parkinson’s and Friendship Hub

This autumn, Sleaford’s National Centre for Craft and Design has launched two new regular sessions; one to combat loneliness and isolation amongst older and vulnerable adults and another to help people living with Parkinson’s to get and stay more active.

Children at Ruskington’s two primary schools have been enlisted to help create handmade poppies as a ‘pledge of peace’ to be hung on display in the parish church in the run-up to Remembrance Sunday.

A Facebook group project to knit hats and other items of clothing for new-born premature babies that spread from the Sleaford area supporting surrounding hospitals and beyond is taking a new direction after its instigator opted to regain some of her ‘family time’.
