Local charities can apply for a grant donation from the Sleaford Town Fund.
It was established when some Town Councillors forfeited their annual allowances.
Charities delivering a service that benefits people living within the town boundary can apply to this scheme for up to £1,500.
The next closing date for receipt of applications is February 1, 2016 when £2,500 will be allocated to local good causes. If you are involved with a not-for-profit community group and would like further details, contact Sue Fortune, Grants Manager with the Foundation on 01529 305825, or visit the Grants Page at lincolnshirecf.co.uk.
The fund can also make awards of up to £250 to individuals to help people get back into work, training or education.
It can fund costs associated with access to local services and activities; disability groups; support for older people; activities for young people. Funding can be provided to cover equipment, travel, venue hire, telephone, refreshments, volunteer costs/training, etc.
Activities must meet an identified need in the community. If the majority of the people who will benefit are outside the Sleaford town boundary, then it is unlikely an application will be successful.
