Fire investigators believe a pile of wood set alight in Sleaford Wood on Saturday was done deliberately.

It happened at the Woodland Trust-owned site shortly after 2.15pm when waste wood was set on fire, causing severe damaged.

A fire crew from Sleaford used a water backpack to put out the blaze and a Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “The cause is believed to be deliberate ignition”.
