A bonfire left unattended resulted in the fire service being called after it burned out of control.

A fire service spokesman said the alarm call came at 5.55pm last night (Thursday) and a crew from Sleaford went out to Grantham Road South at Greylees.

The firefighters used a hose reel and a drag to extinguish a quantity of rubbish on fire which had been left unattended.
