With winter still with us, Citizens Advice Mid Lincolnshire is offering timely support for people in the Sleaford area interested in saving money on their energy bills.

The newly merged organisation says it is helping residents find the best tariff for their circumstances through a variety of ways, including:

n Making people aware of the savings that can be made by switching fuel providers or re-negotiating

n Providing information about help available from energy suppliers and Government for people struggling to pay their energy bills

n Providing information about how consumers might save money by using less energy and sources of advice and help around energy efficiency

n Referring residents to its team of experienced advisers for further help with fuel debts and other problems.

It gives a recent case study in which its advisers were able to save one resident more than £400 a year.

“By calculating her annual usage and carrying out a quick online search we were able to help her to change to a much cheaper provider,” a spokesman said.

Anyone interested in getting advice is asked to call Karena or Jayne on 01529 308423 or visit the office in Money’s Yard, Sleaford, to make an appointment.
