Markets and car-boots in the area have been praised by Lincolnshire Trading Standards, for making sure that traders are selling legitimate goods to consumers.

Some 35 of the county’s regular markets and car boots are now signed up to the national ‘Real Deal’ campaign, where organisers work closely with the suthority to make sure fake and illicit items are not being sold to people.

Emma Wheeler, senior trading standards officer, said: “If you see a ‘real deal’ sign at your local market or car boot, you can be confident that you are buying genuine products and you are not being ripped off.”

If you organise a regular car boot sale or market and you’d like to join the campaign, contact 03454 040506.
