The director-general of the Confederation of British Industry will be among the guest speakers at a special business briefing in Grantham.
John Cridland, who retires as the CBI’s director-general next month, will join the minister of state for skills, Nick Boles MP, at the Duncan & Toplis Directors’ Briefing.
The event will take place at the Belton Woods Hotel near Grantham on November 27.
Mr Cridland and Mr Boles, MP for Grantham and Stamford, are two of the headlining speakers confirmed for the event, which seeks to offer insight to business leaders from across the East Midlands.
Mr Cridland’s appearance at the briefing will be one of his first speaking engagements following his retirement from his role at the CBI on November 15.
Mr Cridland was brought up in Boston, Lincolnshire, and attended Boston Grammar School before reading history at Christ’s College Cambridge.
