An apprenticeship scheme for budding carpenters has just one more place available for the right candidate.
The vacancy for a carpentry apprentice is being offered by Grantham College, in conjunction with North Kesteven District Council.
Four apprenticeships have already been funded thanks to a contribution of £75,000 by Eco2, as part of a Community Wellbeing Programme. The current vacancy is the fifth and final apprentice to be funded through the scheme,
The ideal candidate should possess at least two GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent, and a basic knowledge of tooling would be helpful.
The role would be with the district council’s facilities management team, which manages the security, fire prevention systems, maintenance and repair of the council’s buildings.
Training is provided throughout the 12-month paid apprenticeship, which also offers progression onto an Advanced Apprenticeship or improved chances of full-time employment.
