A supply teacher from Metheringham finished ‘top of the class’ when she appeared on the notoriously tough Channel 4 quiz show Fifteen to One last week.
Jane Kendrick saw off all competition to win her heat on the Sandi Toksvig-fronted programme on Thursday.
The show sees 15 contestants battling it out, nominating each other for questions in the hope of eliminating their opponents and winning a £40,000 grand prize.
Originally broadcast between 1988 and 2003 and presented by William G. Stewart, the programme was revived last year.
On Thursday, Jane outdid her 14 fellow contestants to post a score of 152 in the final round.
The score is likely to see her through to the final, which is to be broadcast on Friday.
Jane said: “It was a great experience. Sandi Toksvig was very nice.
“The final was recorded about six weeks ago. Obviously I can’t reveal the result yet.”
Jane is no stranger to TV quiz shows having been a contestant on several including ‘Britain’s Brainiest Teacher’ some years ago.
The show airs on Channel 4 at 3pm.
