One of Sleaford’s longest established businesses is on the move to bigger premises in the town.

Electrical company Ray Butler Ltd was established in 1959 and its main office has been at 23 West Banks.

Now the successful Sleaford business has plans to expand and will soon be moving to new premises at Enterprise House. Lions Way, Sleaford.

Company secretary Kate Cook said: “The new premises are conveniently located next to Sleaford Enterprise Park where some of our customers are already based. The move out of the town centre will also enable us to improve transport times for our fleet of 12 vehicles as we will be next to the A17.”

Kate added: “In addition to the relocation of the business, we are also expanding our team of electricians and have recently recruited another approved electrician and a trainee electrician. Our current team of 18 includes a technician (the highest technical grade), seven approved electricians, three apprentices and a trainee electrician, in addition to office and support staff.

“We also plan to expand our business into relatively new areas such as Solar PV and Home Automation.”

A showroom at the new site will showcase some of the company’s new products and technologies, as well as having a training room and a meeting room that will be available for hire by other businesses.

The move to Lions Way will take place gradually over the next few weeks, with a grand opening event to be held once the new premises are fully operational.
