After an incredibly successful 2015 that saw Tom Jones play to a record-breaking crowd, it has been announced that An Evening at the Races returns to Market Rasen racecourse this year with an open air concert by multi-chart topper Jess Glynne.
First coming into the limelight as the vocalist on Clean Bandit’s Grammy Award winning and number one hit ‘Rather Be’; pop sensation Jess Glynne has since become one of the biggest UK breakthrough acts of recent years.

Her number-one charting debut album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh‘, has now turned double platinum in the UK, making it the highest selling debut album of the past year. She also became the second British female solo artist after Cheryl to have five number-one singles in the UK.
With no signs of slowing down, 2016 is set to be a further massive year for Jess – later this month she’ll be performing at the prestigious Brit Awards and has been nominated for British Breakthrough Act, British Female Solo Artist and British Single for ‘Hold My Hand’.
Jess said: “It’s going to be great fun playing Market Rasen racecourse on August 13 after the races. I love outdoor shows and can’t wait to share some summer evenings with my fans.”
Jess will also be donating a portion of her fee to an equine charity, of which The Jockey Club Live will match.
Alongside showstopping performances, the action kicks off earlier in the day with a six race card - giving fans the chance to witness powerful equine athletes who are stars in their own right, and enjoy the thrilling drama and spectacle of them racing for glory. Whether you fancy a flutter or a dance with friends and family the event is certain to be an odds on favourite for all.
Nadia Gollings, General Manager at Market Rasen Racecourse, said: “Rasen Rocks 2015 was one of the highlights of the modern era at Market Rasen Racecourse, with a record crowd of race-goers enjoying an awe-inspiring performance from Tom Jones. So we are absolutely delighted to be able to announce the booking of one of Britain’s most popular current music stars in Jess Glynne. I am sure that she will be hugely popular with all our visitors from Lincolnshire and well beyond who will come out on Saturday, August 13 for what promises to be a sensational night’s entertainment.”
Concert organisers, The Jockey Club Live, are leading promoters on the UK live scene, with a series of summer concerts planned by top chart acts at famous racecourses of Newmarket, Sandown Park, Aintree, Haydock Park, Epsom Downs and Carlisle.
