Staff at Sainsbury’s Sleaford store have been fund raising for their chosen local charity for the year – the Evergreen befriending service.
The Big Bike Ride from September 11-13 was held across 65 stores in the region to raise money for each local charity. Staff had already run a tombola, bag packing and a ‘guess the name of the sporty doll’.
Forty-five Sainsbury’s colleagues from Sleaford took part in the 230 mile ride around stores in the region, setting off to confetti cannons and finishing in Kimberley.
The store raised £1,463 for Evergreen. The region as a whole raised a massive £61,000.
