Lincolnshire Police have had another diesel theft reported, this time from a farm on Digby Fen Road in Digby.

A force spokesman said this happened under the cover of darkness yesterday (Thursday October 1).

The thieves have entered the farm yard and damaged fuel caps to six lorries and taken approximately 300 litres of diesel from each lorry.

If anyone has any further information or a witness to this crime call 101 and quote incident number 16 01/10/2015.

This comes just a day after a large quantity of diesel was stolen from a number of lorries in a rural farm area in Billinghay.

PCSO Marcos Meneses of the Washingborough and Metheringham Neighbourhood Policing Team said the theft is believed to have occurred sometime overnight between 11pm on Wednesday night and 2.30am Thursday morning.

The thieves also damaged the fuel caps in the process.

PCSO Meneses said: “Due to this single incident we ask that you keep vigilant for any individuals that you don’t recognise roaming in your local farm areas who may be looking for vehicles to target and for you to report it at the time on 101 so that we can conduct relevant checks.
