Two men from Sleaford have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and attempted burglary in connection with two offences in the town.

The 28-year-olds were taken into custody yesterday (Tuesday) morning and later released on bail.

They were arrested in connection with a burglary at Love and Lace Bridal, in Station Road, at about 1.25am on Saturday, in which a laptop computer was stolen, and an attempted burglary at Pro-tec Mobility, in Southgate, at about 5.30am on Sunday, a spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said.

Jo Nott, 40, co-owner of Love and Lace Bridal, said the raid had caused damage to a number of items, but did not affect any orders on its books.

The business did however have to close on Saturday while police carried out investigations of the scene.

The raid had also taken an emotional toll on Jo and her business partner, as she explained.

“It’s actually quite heart-breaking,” she said.

Anyone with information about either offence should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 31 of October 25 or 360 of October 26 for the burglary and attempted burglary respectively or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
