Police have this morning (Tuesday) raided an address in Digby where they have found what has been described as a ‘cottage industry’ style cannabis growing operation.

A Lincolnshire Police spokeswoman told The Standard: “As a result a 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a controlled drug of class B (cannabis). He was interviewed and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.”

Chief Constable Neil Rhodes tweeted his reaction to the news saying: “Arrived at Sleaford police station to be greeted by horrendous smell of cannabis. Local team just executed warrant.

“Sleaford officers took out cottage industry cannabis grow in Digby. Top job!”
