Sleaford man jailed for thefts from shop and resisting arrest

A 33-year-old man has today (Tuesday) been jailed for six weeks for two counts of theft from a shop, and then resisting officers trying to arrest him.

Ashley Wood, of Church Lane, Sleaford, was charged by Lincoln Magistrates with theft from a store on November 16 and 17.

He was then located yesterday (Monday, November 20), before being further charged with resisting arrest when officers located him at around 4pm on Grantham Road in the town.

Wood pleaded guilty to three offences of: theft at Boots on November 16 of £300 worth of make-up, theft from Boots on November 17 of a Christmas gift set valued at £20 and resisting a constable in the execution of his duty.
